31st Annual Cousin Jake Tullock Memorial Bluegrass Festival

Join us for the 31st Annual Cousin Jake Tullock Memorial Bluegrass Festival at the Historic Gem Theater in Etowah, Tennessee, presented by Etowah Arts, a Tennessee Overhill initiative.

This annual festival honors the legacy of Cousin Jake Tullock, an Etowah native and influential bluegrass musician best known for his work as an upright bassist and vocalist with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys. Jake’s steady rhythm, musicianship, and stage presence helped shape traditional bluegrass and left a lasting impact on the genre.

The festival features two days of live bluegrass and gospel music, along with community fellowship and tradition. Friday evening includes the John Studdard Memorial Gospel Concert with performances by Just Us and Lakeside. Saturday’s Cousin Jake Bluegrass Concert features Just Us, Lakeside, Wilson & Cross, Valley Grass Express, and Seth Mulder & The Midnight Run. A daytime jam session takes place on the Depot lawn, with pick’em-up bands beginning at noon. Food vendors will be available.

Admission is free on Friday. Saturday admission is $10, with children 12 and under admitted free.
Festival hours are 7–9 pm on Friday and 12 pm to 7 pm on Saturday.
