About Us

Founded in 1977, the Etowah Arts Commission has served as a cultural anchor for the community for decades. Established to promote and sponsor artistic activity in Etowah, the Commission has consistently focused on access, education, and the preservation of local creative traditions. From its earliest years, EAC has supported visual art, music, and literary programs that reflect the character and history of the town and its Southeastern Appalachian roots.

As a Tennessee Overhill initiative, the Etowah Arts Commission aligns its work with a broader commitment to heritage, place, and community identity. Each year, EAC produces and supports signature programs including the Cousin Jake Tullock Memorial Bluegrass Festival, the Off the Rails Fall Concert Series, and the Young Authors’ Conference. The Commission also operates the Etowah Art Gallery, hosting rotating local art exhibits, school shows, and collaborative displays with community partners. Together, these programs strengthen cultural life in Etowah while supporting artists, students, and audiences across generations.
